Safe Hands Haulage was started in 2013, the aim was to create a modern transport company, combining a can-do approach with a professional, efficient, service driven attitude.
Our core team is made up of family members.
Initially the company started with a small transit van delivering parcels and small removals to expats in the South West of France. Today the business has grown and is known for doing house removals of all sizes between the UK and France.

John was introduced to me by a very good friend in France as a reliable, helpful and willing person for the service I required. This proved to be a very accurate description as John assisted me with the removal of my most valued pieces of furniture from my secondary home in France to my home in the UK. Jon helped us transport two loads from Sussex to the Bordeaux area and both times I thought the service was excellent. The quote was very fair and, unlike with our previous long haul shipments with other companies, everything turned up on time, in one piece, with nothing missing. One load was mainly comprised of items we bought in the UK on the Internet for our summer home – eg table tennis table, table football table, trampoline, hoover, bedroom furniture, kids bikes etc. Even allowing for the cost of transportation we saved a small fortune compared to what it would have cost us if we bought the same things in France.
I wasn’t around to meet Jon at either end but my mum in Sussex and my French neighbour at the other end couldn’t have spoken more highly of him. We used Jon and Safe Hands Haulage to move circa 16 cubes of furniture and belongings from the Dordogne to Orihuela Costa, Spain. From initial contact and the receipt of a very competitive quote to us saying adios after the shipment had been safely delivered and offloaded, we can honestly say you can rely on Jon’s company 100%. He arrived on time to collect and load, even helped us with a special local delivery of our piano to a friend’s house.
